Same here. According to weather.com today is the last "hot" day of the year, all downhill from here on out. Good!
Top photo is, I think, Lakeshore Drive a couple of years ago...the idiot Urban Dwellers were too stupid to not try and drive home in blizzard conditions. IIRC, it was drifting at over 3 feet an hour and so the entire lanes got snowed in simultaneously. Something like 3 miles of cars came to a halt in blizzard conditions and folks were trapped.
Yer killin' me with those pix - We're sitting in the smoke here in Medford, Oregon -and a cozy cabin in the mountain snow really speaks to us.
F*** that shit! Bring on the smoke. Going out and start the barbie...throw on a little meat and suck in that air....smells just like bacon. Want snow?...move to Canada.
Love these photos. I recall sledding off the roof of our house as snow drifts covered the entire front of the house. This was back in the late 60s to early 70s. Those great snows are long gone now. Used to dress like a spaceman with all the clothes. Didn't go home until you couldn't feel your feet anymore. This was upstate NY.
Nope. I'll take heat and humidity here in the midwest. Not looking forward to pushing snow.
Dave my folks used to live in Eagle Point years ago. Dad had a small cow calf operation. I loved my visits. Nice change from the desert SW to Oregon
Yakima has been socked in with smoke for three weeks! Busy with 6 weeks of harvesting to be done and then waiting for ski season to begin. Come on snow!
Fairbanks Alaska had sticking snow last night!
I love this time of year when autumn in New England is imminent. Time to hit up the Mohawk Trail soon.
SERIOUSLY? You had to go there? Winter ... just as the sadness of the end of summer.. is hitting the West Coast? Shivers here. Not a winter fan. Here on the coast all we get is gray rain which sure beats the snows of back east or further north.
