And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My folks had one too. IIRC it was a '64 with a straight 6. Auto transmission with the pushbuttons on the dash. Dad eventually traded it for a '68 Dodge Polara that was black with a white top. The whole family had lots of laughs watching other cars suddenly slow down when they'd see us coming, thinking we were The Man. Good times.
My dad had a 72 Dodge Dart Swinger, probably with a 318 (I was 6 when he traded it in). From the back seat, it felt like the fastest car in the world. Then my little sister came along and we got a station wagon, since she was the 4th kid.
My Aunt had a Dodge Dart many many moons ago in the early 1970's. It was plain jane blue.
