High Seas and Winds

  2. With a wind like that astern, how fast could a clipper ship make in the years when they were the 'ticket'?

    1. I think it was around 12-15 knots. The Blue Nose schooner (not a clipper) held the record for a very long time - back then the fastest ships were fishing vessels, as they had to deliver their catches fresh.
