And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A friend designed a laser paint remover for the US Navy, in the early 90's. System was intended to remove, IIRC, a 2" square paint patch without harming the primer undercoat. This was for aircraft. I don't recall the power rating of the laser, but the mirrors were hollow, with coolant running through them. The Navy ended up only buying two of them, one for each coast, IIRC.
