And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
As a kid in a big city in the late 40's, one of our 'things' was trying to guess that car coming up the street! I ball-parked it as A GM car and did some research and it's probably a 1946-47 Cadillac.
I used an old blacksmith's shop for a while as my workshop. Dirt floor like this, only full of cinder, you couldn't walk in without walking out covered and looking like Pig Pen. After a while I just paid the money and put a slab in, a world of difference. Harder on the feet though, if you're standing a lot.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a Hudson.
DeleteThat floor though.... no creeper no floor jack no fun.
