And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? What is this?
The LT sent this to me the other day. Apparently it joined him and Mrs. LT on their deck in Charleston, South Carolina.
We've always called these green chameleons both in Florida and Texas (they change color to brown depending on background) but to my surprise that convention is a misnomer. Thanks Patriot, learned something today!
Green anole. They're really cool little lizards, but they are being out-competed by the invasive, non-native Cuban brown anole. I love the little guys (and gals).
Since Katrina, the brown Cuban Anole have virtually replaced the green anole. These brown ones are getting huge. The other day, I was dong some yardwork and saw a brown running on the brick wall with a smaller green one in its mouth.
