  1. Very nice looking dehydrator. I bought one of a similar size at Sportsman's Guide in which I've made many batches of jerky, herbs and fruit chips. A plus over the one in this post is that the heater/fan section can be removed for easier cleaning. A minus is that the racks do not have fine mesh sheets to dry smaller items. I ended up cutting my own from a roll of screen.........

  3. Go straight to Excaliber. Mine works like a charm and I've had it for better than 10 years. Makes excellent jerky!

  5. We have the Excalibur 9 tray -- great so far. The basic model doesn't have a timer to turn it off, but that's okay with us.
