Buffalo Mom teaches a wolf to leave her calf alone.

  1. Healthy buffler in a herd are impervious to wolves and griz. The only predator they face is a human with a rifle. That calf could be days or even hours old.
    Amazing beasts. 50 million years of successful evolution.

  6. Raised on large farm northern Minnesota. Definately wolf country. They don't hunt alone a wolf pack can pull down any animal on the north american continent.
    Played hell trying to keep them away from herd. That was in the 1950's.

    1. I saw a documentary about polar bears where a wolf pack got desperate enough to try to take down an adolescent bear. You are right, a determined pack can wear down even an apex predator if they set their sites upon it.
