And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Buffalo Mom teaches a wolf to leave her calf alone.
Healthy buffler in a herd are impervious to wolves and griz. The only predator they face is a human with a rifle. That calf could be days or even hours old. Amazing beasts. 50 million years of successful evolution. Boat Guy
Raised on large farm northern Minnesota. Definately wolf country. They don't hunt alone a wolf pack can pull down any animal on the north american continent. Played hell trying to keep them away from herd. That was in the 1950's.
I saw a documentary about polar bears where a wolf pack got desperate enough to try to take down an adolescent bear. You are right, a determined pack can wear down even an apex predator if they set their sites upon it.

ReplyDeleteHalf the wolf is missing.
Definitely! That would be one huge wolf given the perspective. Oh, and that's a bull, not a "Mom".
DeleteAgree with Mode Z. It's a bull and half the wolf is missing...
DeleteTete-a-Uooph! The woof will find the missing parts later.
ReplyDelete50 million years? Nope. 50 minutes of successful photoshop.
ReplyDeleteNeed more [human] moms like that...no snowflake there.
