And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Today's carry
I should say that it is a Schatt and Morgan Muskrat in 420HC steel, with amber stag scales.
S&M make some great knives. Very finely finished too, that one is a looker !
Muskrat and Trappers are among my favorite knife patterns. So darn useful. Like Mr. Jackson above, Old Timers have been in my pocket and knife pouches for a long time. In my hunting bag, a 77OT Muskrat and EZE Lap brass diamond rod sharpener are carried in a single pouch. Fantastic for animal processing.
I miss the old Schrade USA but there are still plenty out there when sought out. Great carbon steel that takes a fine edge.
I carry a 3 1/2" Schrade Old Timer every day. I'm 66 and this is my 3rd one since 1`965 when I joined the Scouts
