And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Brings back memories of my first car, a '63 Dart wagon that had the shift buttons on the dash but had a vertical slide to put it in park to the left of the buttons.
Yup I had a 63 Dodge with the push-button shift. Bought it in 1970 for $200 to commute to Newark, NJ from Bergen County. Didn't want something that'd attract the "natives" since the riots of 1968 were still smoldering. Thing got better gas mileage than oil mileage. The guys at work who left the lot behind me named the car: "The Crop duster".
