Why one wears eye protection

  1. He still screwed royally! He should have also been wearing a full face mask.
Imagine having that thing imbedded in his cheek.

Us the right PPE for the job!

    1. I expect he'll need a new pair of pants as well as a full face mask!

  2. Yep. I have a piece of hi-hat carborundum still embedded above my eyebrow from a similar explosion. From 30 years ago. Took out the lens of my safety glasses as well. But I was (relatively) uninjured. Lucky I can see, actually.

Hint: On a new disc or grinder, **ALWAYS** turn your face away when you spin it up for the first time.

  3. Imma throwing the BULL-SHIT flag, here. How does the disc go into the wall at less than tool box height(30"-36")(look at picture) yet go straight to the eye, behind the safety glasses???? Also at different angles. The dude must have contorted himself to a weird way or...bullshit!!! Also, look at disc in wall & glasses; different break points(lines). It almost looks like different type, thickness of the disc, and grain structure. This is just my "quick glance" at this. Look, I am 100% for being safe in all ways possible, however I do have a PROBLEM with people that make bull-shit accidents just to make aware of being safe. Imma throwing the BULL-SHIT flag!!!!!!

  4. ...and never puts their face in line with any sort of spinning blade that runs any faster than about 120 RPM.

It's like never pointing your muzzle into your eye or ear. You just never do it. That's Darwin's job.
