Lockheed C-130. A classic.

  1. It's an iconic aircraft. Maybe the LT will fly one?

  2. This ain't your normal Herky-bird. You're looking at the pointy-end of a MC-130H Combat Talon II. Very special and unusual specimen.
In-flight refueling into a C-130 is unusual. I spent a couple of years on another model C-130 that could receive fuel. I think that my pilots got a real kick out of coming smoking full power up behind the tanker, then pulling power. Tanker boom operators sometimes panicked seeing our high closure rate. But when those four (now six) big blades stopped pulling as much air, the plane really slowed down quickly.
