  5. I would want to rescue it, but would wait until winter. Things tend to set up shop in abandoned vehicles, with the windows down, thing that sting.

I have tow truck jumper cables on my F-150, the kind that plug into the grill, and have 30 foot cables. I could get within 30 feet of that IH, no problem.

Open the hood, and if it is 12V, hook it up, after changing the points, and freeing the float. If it starts, then it is time to examine check the tires, and the underhood area for wasp/hornets/bees/mouses. and pull the front seat for same. pull the door panels after getting the truck home, as there may be something inside the doors, too.

After that, it is just patience and money, to bring it back to being the coolest truck in town. Whatever sound system you put in, make sure it has a good AM receiver. My '47 IH KB-1 taught me that best way to listen to a baseball game is on the AM radio of an old pickup, driving down the road, at night!
