good science exercise for grade schoolers. in as much as the magnetron tube in the microwave oven is the most expensive component; one may want to limit the demonstration to some very few seconds. had a commercial customer place a condom with a few tablespoons of water in it and tied off, into a 2KW oven in order to demonstrate to employees the danger of superheated saturated steam in the kitchen. blew the door into the wall opposite the unit. another interesting science experiment with unintended consequences.
