Walking Stick. Supposedly, using one of these while hiking takes 15% of the load off your knees.

  1. Wow, I had no idea it was that effective. When taking the 'evening constitutional', I notice when I carry a walking stick (to ward of dogs should that occur - it hasn't - YET!), I do seem to have a little more spring in my step. I always thought it was the counterweight which helped that. ???

In the rurals, those canes / staffs are good for checking for venemous snakes and pushing off thorny growth away from the path as we trudge. Also a good makeshift rifle rest.

  2. That would also be nice to have in your hand if you happen to be surrounded with a mob of Antifa or urbanites of diversity!
