I ate a lot of Mountain House beef stroganoff during my backpacking years. I'll power the engines.

  1. Know anyone who actually bought a bucket of food like this?

  2. Well, at the moment, with hurricane Dorian headed my way, I looked at the emergency food offerings from this and other sources. While is seems like a good idea, I can buy a lot of ramen, Campbell's soup, Spam, and Pop Tarts for the amount of money they want for this. My biggest problem is that I want to sample the foods before I buy, but they don't really offer a sample pack. I could buy single serving pouches for $7-10 apiece, but that doesn't sound cost efficient. So, for the time being, I'll just stick the the foods that I normally stock up for hurricane season.
