And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I ate a lot of Mountain House beef stroganoff during my backpacking years. I'll power the engines.
Well, at the moment, with hurricane Dorian headed my way, I looked at the emergency food offerings from this and other sources. While is seems like a good idea, I can buy a lot of ramen, Campbell's soup, Spam, and Pop Tarts for the amount of money they want for this. My biggest problem is that I want to sample the foods before I buy, but they don't really offer a sample pack. I could buy single serving pouches for $7-10 apiece, but that doesn't sound cost efficient. So, for the time being, I'll just stick the the foods that I normally stock up for hurricane season.
Know anyone who actually bought a bucket of food like this?
