  1. Obviously the '40s, the world I was born into. Several years before rocknroll, too - the air was clearer in all sorts of ways.

  2. SBD-1's in early 1942. Those are the guys who sank the IJN fleet at Midway. They are painted "Flight deck blue" because they were yellow red and silver and gloss blue, just before Pearl Harbor. Those are the orphans from Midway who are on there way to Guaddlecannal (spell?)---Ray
