The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Those people are putting an awful lot of faith in whatever they're using to attach the carabiners that hold up the whole shebang up. Faith in the underlying structure of the rock, too. And if they lose one mount or carabiner, the chance of a cascade failure is too great.
Plus, it's higher than a step-stool. Sheer violation of physics and common sense.
And doing this allows you to just shit down the side of the mountain. These assholes shit all over nature just like all the trash they leave on Kilimanjaro.

The general principle for this kind of thing is at least two anchor points. Three is better. Surprisingly few failures in this set up.
