Looks cramped, but it was fast


Dick Beith in his H/Streamliner off to attempt a record set at 144.36 mph.  

 Unfortunately, the swoopy minicar’s Mercury outboard engine topped out at 141.50. 

An interesting choice in motors.

    1. A 2-stroke engine will be significantly lighter than a 4-stroke of the same power.

    2. Larry, my understanding is weight is not your enemy on the salt. Just about every car I have seen running there carries plenty of ballast.
