I loved it, one of the greatest aircraft ever designed. mach 2 plus and exceeded its designed speed of 750 Kts by 100. Let's see a F-15 do that. Brake release to 35 thousand ft, oh, how about 90 seconds.How about 450 Kts by the end of the runway on takeoff. I think about that bird every day.
That appears to be one of the varients of the F-104 that had to land at 350+ mph. That'll fix your hemmoroids! ;o)

Oh yes it was fast. But the downside was that it took two states worth of airspace to turn it around.
