And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? An interesting aspect of the Ju 52 in Africa was that the South African Air Force took over a few civilian models from airlines in that country, and operated them as military transports on the Allied side. It also took over a bunch of Ju 86 transports, converted them back to their original military configuration, and used them as maritime patrol aircraft on the Cape sea route during the early years of the war.
Classic!
