One faux pas after another

The French speaking John Kerry, attempting to make amends for the One's absence from the big anti terror march in Paris last week, came with aging folk singer James Taylor to the City of Light.  Straight out of the Onion, it was.

Apparently, when greeting a French person, an American style bear hug is not desired.  Instead, it's the peck on the cheek.   Shockingly ( or not) Kerry grabbed up the much shorter Hollande and hugged away.  You can see the disgust on Hollande's face below.  Not liking it.

I won't even comment on the idea that bringing James Taylor to serenade the French is a good one.  They are very serious and intellectual, those State Department geniuses.

Hollande is thinking, "Keep your distance, Americaine!!  And let go of my hand!"

  1. I read about this on various sites and this is truly cringeworthy. One day the adults will be back in charge of your government.

    1. Let's hope so, although the fact that Obama was actually elected twice does not bode well.

  2. M. Kerry parle le francais come une vache espagnole. (Translation: Mr. Kerry speaks French like a Spanish cow. This is not a very complementary image.)

  3. Kerry bit Pres. Hollande's ear (shades of Tyson). That's the source of the rift.

  5. Lurch needs to be replaced. It won't happen in the next two years - but we could find a trained chimp who would do a better job. He replaced Hillary, who rose to an equivalent level of competence...

God needs to bless America. Really, I'm not kidding.

  6. Taylor was originally scheduled to sing "It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood," but decided to try and sell a few records instead.
