And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Imagine the awesome sound this would make, if you were standing right there.
In 1992 they had 12 P-51's at Bowman field in Louisville Ky. do a "squadron start up". I was 40 feet from the flight line. THE WHOLE WORLD SHAKES! --Ray
I had a week of that during the National Air Races in Reno last September and it-was-awesome!

ReplyDeleteThat's Jimmy Leewards' P-51, Cloud Dancer. He died in 2011 at the Reno Air Races when his plane crashed into the spectators.
