Over the centuries, how much treasure have we humans buried away?

Surprising how much of this comes to light.

Numismatic hoard consisting of 92 golden staters of Philipp II, Alexander III, Philipp III Archidaeus, possibly Lysimachus, Seleucus I and Demetrius Poliorcetes.
The hoard was found in a secondary building in the sanctuary of Artemis inside a clay unpainted aryter, covered with a sherd of a black-glazed skyphos.
The presence of hoards inside sanctuaries is indicative of both the importance of coins as offerings to the gods and the function of sanctuaries as banks during the antiquity.
Burial c. 3rd century B.C
