I had a similar experience driving north on 395 last Monday. It was just one of the boys (not likely a Turk) out having fun with the slow movers on the highway.
Buddy of mine was trout fishing one of the east side canyons. Said he felt "a disturbance in the force," and just as he looked up, two fighters came over, practicing chasing each other, at or near the speed of sound, so he didn't hear them until they were right there. Plenty of noise an instant later, and no biting fish for an hour.
