    2. How many kids these days get to tote a .22 or a shotgun around, or would even be comfortable with one?

    3. Not many. I grew up like those kids but most children these days are in a completely different place.

  2. I can't see the action of the rifle but the rest of it looks like a rifle that's in the back of the gun safe here at Fort Barney. A Stevens 14 1/2 Little Scout. At least 4 of our generations have learned to shoot with that little gun. I remember my Grandma "showing us how it was done" by shooting dandelions from the back porch. Good times.
