And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Indian Travois - supposedly a very comfortable way to travel.
Pity they weren't ever able to domesticate buffalo the way that Europeans domesticated and breeded oxen. Who knows, they may have worked out the idea of a wheel?
For the record, I'd still take my Raptor.
ReplyDeleteBUT given what was at hand the travois was better than a jab in the butt with a sharp stick.
It's a shame the disease laden white man had to come in with his stupid wheel or we would be bringing our groceries home with this beauty.
