The book title is NOT referencing Mona Lisa. According to everywhere, it's about a 10-year old girl named Mona. Mike Coté is a stupid twat who could have spent 14 seconds double-checking to save himself some embarrassment.
Ok, sure, but what does the Vermeer painting have to do with it and why have that on the cover? I think that is the point being made, not asserting that the book is about Mona Lisa.
