  3. Rode in a TTA DC-3 from Houston to Ft Polk in December 1967 to begin Basic Training. Trans-Texas Airlines or Tree Top Airlines as we called it

  4. Not just an airplane. The Douglas DC-3. Several years ago, United Airlines' in-plane magazine called it "The Greatest Plane Ever Made." Whether in its civilian version, DC-3, or military version, C-47, it flew from before WWII through the Vietnam war, and was still in use with the last one being retired from military use in the 1980's

    Puff's civilian cousin. My dad flew the C-47 and loved them.

  6. the original "Airborne" aircraft ... nowadays, if you're fortunate enough to get to jump out of one, you get a certificate.
