St Michael statue in abbey Mont Saint Michel

  2. There is a ton of Christian symbology there. Michael is an archangel mentioned in the biblical books of Daniel, Jude, and Revelation. The serpent he stands on is a symbol of Satan or demons. Because of his stand against all evil, he is known as a patron of emergency service personnel, police and military.
    ...Yeah ... so weird that he would be depicted in the Abbey that bears his name. LOL There are actually seven very famous structures or sites bearing his name around the world. He is not worshipped, nor is he an idol, but he IS a reality of Heavenly intervention.
