And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Where do they get their water in a perch like this?
a) Precipitation. b) hauled up on their backs. Hence the long-term stupidity of habitation. Fun for a weekend, hell for the long-term. But always a spectacular view.

DeleteHere in Northern AZ, we have several companies that will haul water to fill your cistern. I imagine that's what these folks would do.
ReplyDeleteI hauled water for a while using a 1500 gallon truck. We could pump it 200' max from the closest we could park the truck to the customer's tank.

A lot of these lookouts have to have the water hauled up to the place by hand...5 gallons at a time.
