And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
3.0 out of 5 stars Made in China - Misleading Marketing Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2025 Style: 6.5 Inch Nakiri KnifeVerified Purchase
Everything in the advertising led me to believe I was purchasing an authentic Japanese knife. The product description includes phrases like “Japanese kitchen knife” and “made of Japanese VG-10 steel,” which strongly implies that the knife itself is made in Japan. The presentation feels misleading. If you're looking specifically for a Japanese-made knife, be aware that this is not one.
When the package arrived, I was deeply disappointed to see it clearly marked Made in China. While the steel may (or may not) be of Japanese origin, the knife itself is manufactured elsewhere — an important detail that should have been made clearer upfront.
It is sharp! I was easily able to shave off arm hair (like with an old-fashioned straight razor) with the knife right out of the package. I will keep it because it is so sharp.
I still have one very similar made by or for Rapala from when i was a kid in the 60s

I'll stand my old Charles filet knife against any other. A rather mild steel, quite unassuming, with hickory handle.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've used fancy high carbon blades, I own several, but they don't slice that much better and for the price, are a lesser value.
