And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Nice little ax. I have one that was given to me when my uncle passed in 1976. Great for splitting kindling and other little jobs.

Too pretty to use. It's a veritable work of art.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's made in the U.S.A. Can't beat that.
They've been making those for decades. Glad to see they haven't changed the design. At $36, that's a great deal.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. Did you notice the traditional hickory handled 14-ounce hatchet is only two dollars cheaper?
DeleteI did not see that. But 14 oz? My lightest general purpose hammer is more than that. Heck, I think my fine finish hammer is 14, or maybe 12.
DeleteInstead of a lightweight hatchet, I reckon I'd use the regular size to baton.
Sorry. I got dyslexic there. Should have written inch, not ounce.
DeleteHad one of these for years for camping. A lifetime tool.
ReplyDeleteThe closest thing you'll find to perfection of a tool.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I'd do to it is gun blue most of the head and exposed handle other than the cutting edge.
