  1. Truly. I mean, think about it.. what was it, turn of the century, right? SO 125 years after they cobbled together what was a propellor powered kite essentially...To jet powered fly-by-wire computer controlled steel 'wings' that are inherently unstable, by design.

  4. Admired, yes, amazed, maybe not, Orville died in 1948. In 1944 the last thing he sat at the controls of was a Lockheed Constellation and he lived to see he sound barrier broken by a rocket plane.

  7. before he passed away, Jack Northrup was shown the b2 model prototype, about to go into production - - - in 1981 folks. 1981.
