And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Once upon a time I was working on a project that we were testing out at Avon Park Bombing Range in Florida and I got to watch F-16's do live fire strafing runs with that 20mm Vulcan. Be afraid.
Heh. Once upon a time I worked for (at the time) Raytheon Missile Systems near the engineering, design, and test building for PHALANX, watching and listening to them being dry-fired. Saw an early trailer-mounted prototype too. One time, got to “steer” a remote-control version under test. Yes, big BRRRRRRT. Only bigger brrrrrt was the GAU-8 on the A-10. Wandering Neurons
