Wouldn't want to get run over with those

  1. Love to ice race. Buddy and me run a ice sidecar. We built it sing a Ducati 750SS, its air cooled, loves the cold air on the ice. You can run any type of side hack, no rules, its a total hoot, we use hardened self tapping screws, avoids the danger of the spike bikes. Screws are in some ways better than spikes, get a lot more drift, so you can steer with the throttle and rear tire. Basically drift the corners by backing it in, throttling thru and out. The "monkey" gets a serious workout, the G load terrific.

  4. Years ago I saw some videos featuring cycles racing on ice. Indoor oval tracks somewhere in East Europe. Some fellas did fall and did get run over by them spikes. Mostly arms and legs and mostly they just get up and get ready for the next heats.
