What kind of apples are those? Red Delicious? Rome Beauties?

  1. Who knows. There are so many different kinds it's hard to tell. And they all seem to taste the same anymore. Like the watermelons & tomatoes they pick them for shipping before the flavor has formed.

  4. I know that variety that I'd like them to be: Cosmic Crisp. My new all-time favorite!!!

  5. Might be "Cortland", but since they're boxed for transport, I'm guessing "Baldwin".

  7. This makes me sad, my local seasonal farm stand closed this summer. The guy running it was getting to old to drive around and hoist the heavy boxes into the truck anymore.
And he can't find anyone younger that wants the job.

  8. I have an orchard on my property that was run by the previous owner. I have red apples and green apples. That is all I know about them.

  9. They look like Romes. Good cooking apples. When I make pies, I use Rome or Stayman apples. They stay nice and firm and don't turn to mush. Using Red Delicious in a pie should at least be a misdemeanor.
