And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

This image puts a smile on my face. Classic Bisley style revolver - all so, so good.
This is a pretty and very capable revolver. It's something that one would actually carry when doing field work. I've carried an ancient Smith Model 29 and a Ruger Redhawk while working in the Northwest Territories back when we could get a permit to do so but something like this would be pretty easy to carry. As 2Knives noted, too bad we can't get one.....Steve_in_Ottawa
You're doing everything right! You bought that revolver!
I find mine even shoots cheap old Berry's plated bullets at low velocity with amazing accuracy. It's truly an amazing caliber and gun. And the Bisley handle is awesome!
Bucket list is matched classic Ruger SAs in .45LC, a pair of short-barrel bird's heads, and a pair of longer-barrel Bisleys. I'm only about halfway there.
OK, thanks. I was a little confused. The Ruger is a nice gun. Also tucked away in the back of the safe is a Colt "Bisley" that's an absolute mutt of a gun. 38 Special which would be an unusual caliber if it was a "real" Bisley and none of the serial numbers on the grip pieces match the frame and I don't care that it gives collectors the vapors. Got it cheap because of those issues and it shoots really well which I do care about. Love the grip shape.
Got a Blackhawk and an original vaquero in .44mag. I shoot mostly .44spl in both and it’s a sweet amount of recoil. .44 mag is a bit punishing after a few rounds
On a lot of peoples "bucket list". Wish I could go back in time and buy one.
ReplyDeleteI have one in .45 LC. Love it.

ReplyDeleteRedhawk is one of my absolute favorites. Add a couple inches to the barrel though

ReplyDeletethe bisley fits me, the standard peacemaker grip makes shooting impossible with my large hands.

ReplyDeleteThis is one thing the guy in the above picture with the bear should have had.
