Off and Running

  1. That’s a very stiff suspension. The distance between the wheel and the fender barely changes from full extension to full compression under the car’s weight.

Built for speed not for comfort

    1. You said it. Hy get the roll center dialed in to a T. Sen some cars with Penske shocks, precise 4 way adjustments, ( have one on my road race bike, another level of suspension adjustability), Ti springs, even hydraulic spring perches, because they can tune it so precisely they do not need a lot of travel, the chassis are tuned too, lot of fantastic tech out there now, just how much you have to spend.

    2. might be a chain or rod or cable that prevents the axle/tire from dropping much when jacked up.

We used to do that to the SCCA cars so we could get the tires loose just that much faster. Didn't have to raise the car frame as high.

  2. Is that a 4 WD car? Watch the front tire.
