Into the pot

  1. We call them sea bugs, down east. Tasty critters, the cold sea water along Maine's coast produces outstanding seafood, my all time favorite is a big ol' chunk of just caught Haddock, batter fried on a Kaiser roll with tarter sauce, when Haddock is very fresh it tastes a lot like fresh lobster, got to be fresh like within hours. Sometimes get lucky and a school of them run by the boat and we can land a few, when that happens its time to fire up the galley stove, its that good fresh off the hook. Fresh Cod like that is pretty darn awesome, Pollack too, it is close to Haddock just off the hook. Guy I know scuba dives for Lobsters and big sea Scallops, he has a license for Lobster fishing. Comes back with those monster Scallops, those things are the candy if shellfish when hours old fresh, the Lobsters too taste great, they ain't sat in a tank for days on end.

  2. Ya can't go wrong with the Maine shrimp, either.
    Tasty little bastids.
Hopefully, they will be available soon.
