  1. Imagine trying to synchronize five throttles in two separate cockpits. Then the prop and mixture controls...

    1. Pilot had all five controls. Copilot in other cockpit had limited instrument panel, no engine controls except for radiator flaps.

      What I think amazing is the aircraft could maintain level flight on only two outboard engines. But with a glider tow, RATO was required for take off.
