  1. Why would anyone with even a half of a brain want to remine in the Land of Fruit and Nuts?

  2. I just walked down to the gas station to fill up my gas can. 10 gals is going to cost you $6.50 more! Ridiculous. Predictions for $7-$8 a gal in a few months. We need scalps.

  3. Eh. It's CA. Let 'em marinate in their own bad decisions.

    1. These aren't our bad decisions, this state is ruled by a crooked cabal of greedy power mad assholes who want to force us into slavery.

  4. Gas dropped from 2.69 to 2.29 here.

  5. FYI, your federal, state and local governments make more money on a gallon of fuel than the company that produces it.

  6. To put it another way, government makes more money on a gallon of gas than do the people that explore for it, drill for it, refine it, transport it and retail the finished product, combined.

And yet the State of California wants its citizens to believe the high prices are a result of "Greedy Big Oil Companies".

  7. They can't steal enough, ever, it's what they do, the ultimate organized crime gang, we'll see how bad, pretty soon, crimes and criminals beyond anything imaginable.

  8. Do you remember back when diesel was a lot cheaper than gasoline? That's because it cost a lot less to semi-refine diesel. Well, the feds and states knew that overland truckers have to used diesel, so they said, "Hey! We can make a ton of money taxing diesel at a higher rate because we have the transportation people by the gonads." And there we have it.

    1. The railroads use massive amounts too and they are being forced to come up with green energy (electric) locomotives that will increase costs substantially. Yeah look into that crap.

    2. Increase of the cost of diesel accounts for much of the rate of ruinous inflation. It effects everything.

    3. And anyone who disputes one of the major causes of the ruinous inflation, just go grocery shopping and see what it costs to get the food to the stores.

  11. IF anything like England the lunatics are running the asylum, unnoticed by the smug ones bragging how cheap their battery is car is for them, all due to cheap untaxed overnight home charging and general tax bribes, they are about to have a rude awakening.

They haven't yet realised that the taxes due to be lost on petrol and Diesel, as the sheep do as their told by the politicos scrapping their real cars and rent/lease battery toys, well those fuel taxes propping the whole bloody ponzi scheme up are going to fall on them and their batteries in the fullness of time.

Mind you by then England will probably be a failed state and anything can happen, England should be twinned with Ca.

  12. had 2 uncles that left there in 1988 or 89. they said the state was getting stupid.
sad, as they went out there in the early 1930's. got farms and did really well for a
long time. they both sold out for big bucks ( at the time) and left.
came back home to eastern KY hills. the last time I was out there was in 1980.
it wasn't so bad then, just too many people for me. it was a lot cleaner too than what I see today about the state today.

    1. California is a difficult place for many to live, I guess. I have moved. My grandfather was born on the Cudahy Ranch in 1910, my Dad in Compton in 1931 and myself in Orange, in 1951. I watched the Dodgers in the Coliseum in' 58 and Lakers come to LA to join the Rams and was thoroughly enthralled by the vibrance of those days.and look upon them fondly. Orange groves abounded. Those were near magical times.

  14. An effort to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) began on March 28, 2025. Supporters of the recall have 160 days—or no later than September 4, 2025—to collect 1,311,963 signatures to require a recall election.[1]

Proponents of the recall effort criticize Governor Newsom for his handling of the Los Angeles County fires, the rising cost of living—including gas, electricity, and insurance—along with concerns about crime rates, homelessness, the drug epidemic, and border-related issues.[2]

Governor Newsom was elected as California's governor in 2018 with 61.9% of the vote. In 2021, there was an attempt to recall Newsom, yet he retained his position with 61.9% of the vote. He was re-elected in 2022, garnering 59.2% of the vote.

Saving California Chairman Randy Economy initiated the recall effort. The recall petition lists the following reasons for recall:[3]

TO THE HONORABLE GAVIN NEWSOM: Pursuant to California Elections Code section 11020, the undersigned registered qualified voters of the State of California, hereby give notice, we are the proponents of a recall petition and we intend to seek your recall and removal from the office of Governor in the State of California and to demand election of a successor in that office.

The grounds for this recall are as Follows: Gavin Newsom's tenure has been marked by a series of catastrophic failures that directly impact our daily lives. His gross mismanagement during the Los Angeles County fires, with inadequate resources and delayed responses, left communities devastated. Under his watch, we've seen an unbearable rise in the cost of living - from gasoline to electricity to insurance. Crime rates have soared, with policies seemingly more lenient on offenders than on ensuring our safety. Homelessness has become a visible crisis on our streets, reflecting a failure in meaningful action. The drug epidemic rages on, and border issues remain unaddressed, straining our resources further. Despite our high tax contributions, there's little to show for it; our funds are misallocated to political agendas rather than our pressing needs This recall is our call for leadership that prioritizes Californians' safety, affordability, and wellbeing over political games. It's time for change.

The printed names of the proponents are as follows: (1) Mel Gibson, (2) Randell R Economy, (3) Thomas E. Montgomery III, (4) Don Genhart, (5) Ricardo Ramos, (6) Sarah Nagle, (7) John Wilkinson, (8) Susan Miller, (9) Lindsey Stetson, (10) William S Miller.[4]

  17. Washington just did the same thing. My 80 gallon Winnebago tank makes me get sad when I have to fill it. All of our roads in the Western states I just went through are all garbage. Where has all of our previous gas taxes gone? Bike paths?
Rip-offs for sure and both sides voted for it in Wa. Don't just toss it on one side.

  18. And I only use gas without corn flakes. I like my rigs to last. Another rip-off.

  19. I hate to break it to y'all, because Gabbin Nuisance is a world-class prize-winning idiot jackass, but gasoline did NOT, in fact, go up another 65¢/gallon here yesterday.

Somebody's spinning press releases out of their underpants.

    1. I wonder if there's a delay in the price increase as gas stations finish off their inventories of gasoline that were purchased at the old price just before the July 1 date. A gasoline price site I just looked at (Way.com) shows that average gas prices in the town I live in (Escondido) are actually lower today than they were a week ago.
