    2. That brings back youthful memories of Lucky Lager Bock.

Go ahead and laugh, but that was back in the days before fancy beers were a thing and Lucky beers were a Godsend to a young working guy on a tight budget.

I'll try to find a six pack of Shiner Bock and rekindle the Bock memories. They were good times.

  6. Tried it once because someone left a few in refrigerator. Not a dark beer guy but I have to admit that was pretty dang good

  10. Shiner Bock draft compares well to any beer, anywhere. I would rate the bottled version as “ok” but not great.

  11. When i grew up in Tx, shiner was a crap beer. If I remember correctly it came in wide mouth bottles so you could get all the chunks out.

  13. The Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner Texas is the oldest brewery in Texas. You can find it about an hour and a half south of Dimebox.

  14. It is drinkable, but so are many other unremarkable brews. Other than the color and label saying it was a bock, I would not have known.

Now here is the Best "Bock" available in the USA!

    Bock...Bock...Bock...Goat!
Bock Bock Goat is––you guessed it––a Bock. A long beloved style in Zinzinnati, these labors of lagered love fuel the revelry at Bockfest, our city’s annual spring welcoming celebration. We’ve brewed Helles Bocks and Doppelbocks in seasons past, but this year’s braü goes bock to basics with a traditional Bock beer. Taking its name from the German word for Billy Goat, ein Bock, Bock Bock Goat is a limited release, available exclusively on draft.
