And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That’s why there’s a strong magnet on a long cord in my toolbox. Wrenches, sockets & hardware come back pretty easily. Screwdrivers not so much…they fall pointy end down. A layer of plywood attached to those 2x’s works wonders.
There definitely should be a tarp under the platform. I worked on floatplanes in NW Ontario as an apprentice. My boss, the licensed engineer, had butter fingers and the rocker covers, pushrod shrouds and gland nuts are aluminum. I will give you one guess who had to strip down and go for a swim to retrieve them. Al_in_Ottawa

Say what you want, but they get it done under the worst of flying conditions and the minimum access to parts and support, and let me tell you, that 1340 needs constant attention, worse than a woman.
I like the work platform.
ReplyDeleteI would add at least a tarp. To catch dropped tools and that one bolt with no spares.

ReplyDeleteWhat could possibly go wrong?"
I think I would trust those guys more than I would my local mechanic. Real world lived education.
DeleteLook up the life expectancy of Alaskan bush pilots sometime.
DeleteThere's a reason they don't need to build them a retirement home.
