Commission Earned

  1. Worth every penny. Seriously. And the change from CFL to LED is a game changer for the user. So many of us let the old ones just get ignored because of the cost of the CFL bulbs...and every 6 months replacement. The LED probably never needs replacement. They do what they say, and you don't even know they're there.
(except when they get wet, and all those little corpses start smelling)

  2. I don’t want a but trapper in my yard. A bug trapper, maybe. The ones you hook a propane tank and a power cord too can kill mosquitoes by the bucketful.

    1. Yep, and similar. THOSE actually work, and pull skeeters. Expensive, and they do use both propane and a bait compound, but they will clear a half-acre or more IF properly placed. Light traps are basically bs.

  3. That's new to me: A "but" trapper.

  4. I've got the bigger one, works great and you can get mosquito lure bait to help bring in the mozzies. It does get stinky if you don't dump the bug corpses about weekly. But it does work well.

  5. UV or florescent traps kill tons of flying bugs but hardly any skeeters. These kill lots of pollinators for your garden or fruit trees very well, so if you grow your own, they are like shooting yourself in the foot.
    Few skeeters are light attracted.
Use those that burn propane to generate CO2 or just use the best thing: screens on windows or porches coupled with dumping water from breeding locations like tires, bird baths, clogged gutters, ditches or anything that collects water puddles.
