And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Yeah something about that unconditional love dogs have for their human's. Had a wire haired terrier, I think she was an angel sent down from heaven to visit for a while. I'll never get over losing her, there is a hole in my life since she's been gone nothing will ever fill. Been years now, still see her out of the corner of my eye sometimes, and swear to God hand on the bible, felt her walking up on the bed beside me a few times, or standing down by my leg. Happened too many times to shrug it off to imagination. May be, may be not, but it is nice when it happens.

ReplyDeleteAmen!
ReplyDeleteThis kind of looks like my father as a young man with his pet in the 1920's.
ReplyDeleteHeaven is the place where all the dogs you've ever loved come up to greet you.
ReplyDeletePer Sam Clemens: The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's.
