And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I would imagine drafts of these classic old ads had to cross the desk of William Batterman Ruger to get his final approval. And the possibility exists that the content of them was his idea to begin with.

Fun little gun in .22 cal. Bought the "new" single six in the early 80s in stainless. Still my go to critter gun when the dogs get something up in the yard.
