And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I had a corner office that had a view of Stone Mountain strait ahead and off to the right was the Ford dealership. I had building maintenance turn my desk around after a week. I wasn't getting any work done.
I set my new office up like that but the light coming in the window was destroying my eyes while trying to do CAD work on the computer. So it only stayed like that for about an hour. Now that window is on my right side. Yeah, I frequently turn sideways in my chair and enjoy the view outside.
Something looks a little freeky on the front of that chair, and that right hand window doesn't work right. And there's no knee room for working the keyboard.
I have had spectacular views in my life, and lived adjacent to a hwy 101 in CA during college. After a bit, you ignore the view and the noise. Just sayin.

ReplyDeleteYa, the distraction factor would get you. What a view!

ReplyDeleteI have the rug so I just have to work on the rest....
ReplyDeleteThere's no room for work on that mess of a desk and the arches look MC Escher-esque.
ReplyDeleteMy desk view is a salt marsh, framed by 8-9 live oaks and a few palmettos. Plus a purple/orange sunset nightly.

ReplyDeleteAny idea where that is?
ReplyDeleteDon't know why but it looks like Istanbul to me.
ReplyDeleteDon't think so, worked there for a while and doesn't look at all familiar.
DeleteThat chair is going to destroy the rug.
ReplyDeleteMontevideo, Uruguay is my guess.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking it works a lot better as an office space since the bell was removed, and they glassed it in.
