And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

“Simon Kenton’s Voyage to Steal Horses” – art by Steve White. But steal from whom?
Simon Kenton (aka "Simon Butler") (April 3, 1755 – April 29, 1836) was a renowned American frontiersman, soldier, and pioneer who played a significant role in the settlement of Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio. He was a contemporary and friend of notable figures such as Daniel Boone, Isaac Shelby, and Thomas Hinde. Kenton served the United States in the American Revolutionary War, the Northwest Indian War, and the War of 1812.
Most of the escapades attributed to Daniel Boone were actually the experiences of Simon Butler as he “thought” he was a wanted man for murder. He did not want to draw attention to hisself. The man Simon thought he killed was from a fight when he was 16 and the fellow was really just knocked out. He left his home before the guy woke up. The life story was great.
CW, they are reclaiming their horses which were stolen from them previously.
