  1. It is a lot harder to keep some that wide, in between the white lines on the road, constantly, for hours at a time, than most people think.

    1. Trucking is not an easy job.

    2. It must've gotten harder, because many of the trucks I see nowadays are all over the road. They seem to think the white lines are just there as a helpful suggestion.

  2. Situate the gauges so the needles at "normal" are pointing in the same direction and it's not as confusing.

  3. Gauges , who needs them? Should be looking where you're going.

  4. A six and a four. Excellent choice.
I also appreciate the choice of the shifter extension on the Brownie. Both levers are right there and easy to reach. Nice.
The wrap on the levers helps keep them quiet.

BTW, when you spend 12 to 15 hours a day looking at the world through a windshield, knowing which gauge is telling you what comes automatically, and they can tell you when a component might need some attention soon. Especially the transmission and rear end temperature gauges.

    1. I just realized: If that's a Kenworth 900A there are six more gauges over to the left of the steering column.

  5. sadly, Most new trucks are automatic now.
if you cant handle a shifting a unsyncronized 9 or 13 or 18 speed, you have no business in a truck.
